Killing time...

Ok so I’m still at work… been procrastinating all day long. I’m very good at procrastinating. As a matter of fact I’ve got it down to a science! LOL. I’m bored. I just wanted everyone to know that. Folks on Twitter aren’t talking about anything interesting, I have my own office so I’m alone and I have a ton of work that I should be doing instead of typing this. I really hope that I don’t get into trouble. I guess it’s not smart to have a public blog that my boss could easily look up, right? I have 15 minute breaks and a lunch so I’m doing this during those times. Anywho, It’s not like I’m in here looking at porn… LOL. Porn at work is soooo inappropriate! Just not me. As usual, I don’t have anything interesting to talk about. Gotta watch what I say about folks at work for fear of getting into trouble. Can’t afford to lose my job with our economy still the way that it is. I pray that it’ll all be over soon so that folks can start getting back on their feet.

Stephen is currently looking for a new job. He does some promoting out in the city and he bartends but he’s looking for something more steady. While promoting he’s met a few celebs. So far he’s met Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Diddy and Red Cafe. While he was working, I was twittering and Busta and Diddy were on twitter. Busta was trying to get in touch with Diddy through twitter about Q-tip’s birthday party at his spot. Then the next morning Stephen tells me all the people he ran into at Q-tip’s party. I had no clue that that is where he was going to be. He said he had no clue that that’s where he was going to end up either. It was neat knowing what was going down between the celebs and Stephen ended up right in the midst of it all, unknowingly. He said they talked, took pics and everything was cool. I’m not 100 percent sure if Stephen had anything to do with the promoting for this party. I think he was just there, the right place at the right time kind of thing.

Anywho, enough writing, I have to get back to work, seriously. Maybe tonight when I get home, if I remember, I’ll post an excerpt from the piece that I’m working on thats going to make me a best seller… LOL! I’ll holla!

Fiction Story...

So today I’m going to try and keep this short and sweet. As usual, I’m at work and as you can see I’ve been playing around with the HTML because my font is different. Anywho, I just wanted to say that I’m soooo glad that I was fortunately enough to experience another day to chill with my daughter, come to work, and see my boyfriend again. A lot of people aren’t as fortunate, ya know? I don’t really have much to say and I have a lot of work to do so I’m going to get on that. Our closing is coming up so I have to have everything done before we can close. Maybe I’ll come back and write more later, not sure, depends on how much free time I have.

Oh and before I go, I’ve started working on my fiction story again. I started this back in like 2002, I wanted to try my hand in making a fiction book. I’ve been adding to it for the last 6 or so years. I hope that its going to be good. Maybe someday I can publish it and you all will get to see how crazy my imagination can be. Right now it has about 5 chapters. I hope that I can be the next Erick Jerome Dickey. Ok, I’m outtie. Talk later!

Pork Flu

Swine flu, pork flu, pig flu… whatever people decide to call it, I’m sick of hearing about it!! On every radio station in NYC that I was listening to this morning was talking about it. Give it a rest already. We just have to be extra careful is all! You’d think somebody caught the Ebola or Marburg virus or something. Now those are some seriously fatal diseases that should be causing this kind of ruckus. Just wash your hands more and steer clear of anyone who might look like they’re suffering from a cold. Don’t get allergies confused with flu symptoms. Just because someone is sneezing all over the place, doesn’t mean they have the pork flu, it could just be that they are allergic to pollen, like I am. Pass that person a Claritin and a hankerchief, be nice.

Anyway, my morning was ok. Stephen and I are sorta at a cross-roads in our relationship, don’t know how it’s going to go but I guess that is to be continued. It seems as though the only time I have time to blog is while I’m here at work. When I’m at home I don’t want eyes staring over my shoulder while I’m cyber-brainstorming so I choose not to. I’m a very techie person though. I’ve very into computers and anything “techie.” I guess you could call me a black girl geek. lol. I dunno. I’m just rambling on and on. Don’t really have much to talk about. Nothing exciting has happened yet, today. It’s only Wednesday which makes it even worse. Yesterday, my good friend here at work snuck into my office while I was away and posted little yellow post-it notes all over my office with “Hi!” written on each one. I’m telling you that chica ain’t got a lick of sense!

Chris Brown’s trial starts today. I just though of that because he and Bow Wow’s song is playing on my Windows Media Player. I wonder how that’s going to turn out. This is another topic thats being worn out as much as it can be worn out so I’m not going to even go into although I am curious to know if his ass is gonna be thrown in jail.

Phhheewww…

Man, I just got a call from the director of the billing department (Susan)’s assistant telling me that Susan and Stan, our CFO, wanted to meet with me in Stan’s office!!! OH MY GOSH!! I was so scared I could feel my heart beating in my throat!! I just knew I was in trouble for something. A lot of drama has been going on around here lately and because of it I’ve been staying in my office and keeping to myself so that I won’t be part of the drama. Of course I work with an assload of women so there’s bound to be some pettiness and childness going on somewhere. Anyway, they only wanted me to come to their office so that I could get my name badge for my office! Talk about relief! We did our usual joking around together then I left. I haven’t been that nervous in a long time! Now I reeeally gotta go and get my coffee!! I’ll holla!!

Good morning or should I say Bad Morning!

Ok soooo this is my first post. Hmmm, don’t really have much to say right now. I’m at work so I can’t blog long anyway. I just wanted to finally get on here and check this out since I’ve been hearing a lot about it. Well… ok… Ok, I’ll tell you how my morning was. It sucked! My boyfriend and I got into the worse fight over bullshit! I was soooo angry and just wanted to drop it but he just wanted to keep carrying on about it. I hung up on him 3 times because I just didn’t want to talk to him about it. Ok I know I shouldn’t have hung up but I warned him before I hung up each time. I said I’m hanging up now, I’ll talk to you later or bye, then I hung up. You don’t think that makes it right? I know that that doesn’t make it right but if he had been listening to me then it wouldn’t have happened. Just writing about this is making me upset all over again so I’m going to go get my first coffee for the morning and get back to work. Closing here at work is coming up very soon so I have to stay on it so I’ll complete all my work on time. Maybe I’ll write again later! Smoochies!
