Needless to say, it’s been a very interesting week for me. Monday started off a normal day. Caught my bus to work, worked, caught my bus home from work. The night was fine, chilled out with Stephen, then suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen like someone had just stabbed me with a knife. The pain was so severe that Stephen had me rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Spent the night in the Phelps Hospital ER with Stephen and Olivia. They ran all kinds of tests from CAT scans to ultrasounds on my belly. Come to find out I had a ruptured cyst on my right ovary. At first my ob/gyn doctor from the hospital told me that I don’t need surgery that morning. But then when my blood pressure was consistently very low and my blood count was low and getting lower hours later my doc came back to tell me that he has decided that I needed surgery after all because I was losing too much blood since my blood pressure was so low and my blood count wasn’t improving. Yay me! So off to surgery I went. The cut me open, drained out all the blood that was chilling around my stomach and intestines and cauterized the cyst, sewed me up and off to recovery I went. Man am I still sore. I left the hospital the next day after my surgery even though one of the other doctors felt I should stay an extra day. So far I’m doing ok. Extremely sore still but Stephen has been taking very good care of me and has really made things a lot easier for me. I don't know what I’d do without him. Got so many calls from folks while I was at the hospital. My phone rang off the hook with people calling to see if I were ok. I felt so loved. Anyways, I’ve rushed through this because I’m tired and sore and need to go to sleep. Can’t go back to work til August 22 according to my doctors so I have a lot of time on my hands. May add more later today, don't know yet, depends on whether or not I’m fighting off Olivia to keep her from kicking me in my stomach and breaking my stitches. Anywho… hollerate!
